Spring time has the field looking like Grand Central Station with lots of activity and big crowds, scratching around for bugs and nibbling the grass, which is FINALLY starting to turn green. The turkeys have been gobbling every morning! Spring Gobbler season started on Saturday, so the turkeys have to be concerned about whether the hens are real or decoys.
These birds are still at it! Exhausting!
The deer are still antlerless and the turkeys make them sorta nervous. Actually, I’m not sure who makes who more nervous.
Big Mama has been in the field with her twins, last year’s cubs, Ted and Winnie . . . they can’t figure out why everybody leaves when they arrive at the party!
Which way did they go?
